After experiencing National Portfolio Day, and after I didn't really receieve the kind of response from representatives that I wanted...I've kind of just opened my eyes a little more and come out and said to myself that I'm not all that passionate about art. I didn't get bad responses, but I also didn't get great ones either. I mean, I like art, I enjoy looking at it, I enjoy doing it, I enjoy learning about it, but I never do stuff on my own. I just...never really feel like it. I don't know. I realize this is a horribly rash decision after talking to only 3 art schools and being disappointed, but I think I'm going to consider just going to MCC or Nazareth and just taking some classes for the hell of it. I don't have any clue what I want to do, and maybe I'll be able to find something. I don't know. I'm just feeling confused and let-down. I guess only time will tell. I just don't know if I'm passionate enough about it to get my ass into an art school and compete with so many people that are obviously much more passionate about it then I am. To be honest, I think the only reason I've been drawn to it for so long is when everyone started freaking us out about college and picking out what we thought we wanted to do I jumped on art because it's all I really feel I can do, and I really have no urge to work in some business building or something. I don't know.
I don't know what to do.
I don't know where I'm going to end,
What I'm going to end up doing,
and I hate that I had to come upon this epiphany so late.
Fuck college shit.

So...I haven't made a post in quite sometime. I'd like to think it's because I realized how pointless eljay is, but really I've just switched from one pointless computer addiction to another! Whatevz.
School's going well. I like some of my classes a lot, I don't really like others, same ol' same ol'. I'm not all that excited to graduate and leave and all. I'm sure I'll get there and be all excited and nervous and just a bundle of emotion, but right now all I am is nervous. I don't want everything to change and everyone to go. I remember at one point I was one of those kids that always complains about their town and how they just want to leave and go somewhere better. But I've come to realize that everywhere I could go is relatively the same. If you can't enjoy yourself where you are then you're still going to have the same problems wherever you want to go. And now, I don't want to leave. I don't want everything to change. I want to go back to the beginning of this summer and stay there for the rest of my life. But I can't. And it's a stupid, childish thing to want, but I'm stupid and childish.
People should know this by now.

So, my mom and I were watching some thing on PBS about removing ticks.
And my mom told me about when she was little in Ohio and how weird it felt to have one crawl up your leg, but luckily she was never biten,
But her dogs used to get them all the time, and my grandpa, before he died, when the ticks were all big and engorged with blood, he rip them off the dog with his hands, throw the tick on the ground, pour gasoline on it, and light dat shit on fire.
Hahahahahahahaahaha, yep.

Today was pretty good!
I missed some of the folks that are in Ireland, but I'm sure they're enjoying themselves.
It's hard not to feel good when it's the day before break.
Plus I got a kickass piercing!

All in all, I'm super pleased with the piercing.
It was a lot less painful then I expected; it still isn't sore, throbbing or even that red!! I'm sure I'll be feelin' it tomorrow. Also, Jason said I handled it pretty damned well, too.
We also saw Ms. Ali Ressing from our P2P group there, which was neat!!
